Afaik #!/path/to/interpreter_or_shell only works on unices... Last time
I tried it didn't work on DOS :-)

I think that I have a SHEBANG line in the begining of the script.
I have :
"#!C:/Perl/bin/Perl.exe "
because that is where Perl.exe is on my computer.

Also the scripts work fine when I run them through MS-DOS.

Thank you for your suggestion. Any others ?
