Subject url rewitting on Apache
Date Fri, 21 Jun 2002 15:42:27 GMT
Any help on this will be appreciated !

I am running Apache and Tomcat on my local machine .I have configured mod_rewire and mod_proxy
in addition I have these lines on my http.conf to rewrite and proxing :
ProxyPass /rmi http://localhost:8080/rmi
ProxyPassReverse /rmi http://localhost:8080/rmi

RewriteEngine on
RewriteLog c:/rewrite.log
RewriteLogLevel 9
RewriteRule ^/cgi-bin/java\-rmi\.cgi$ http://localhost/rmi/servlet/ServletHandler

Basically I am running a RMI client and servlet is running on Tomcat .The servlet supposed
handle a POST request .But when run the RMI client I see this on access.log of Apache : - - [21/Jun/2002:01:45:10 -0500] "POST /cgi-bin/java-rmi.cgi?forward=1099 HTTP/1.1"
302 308 - - [21/Jun/2002:01:45:10 -0500] "GET /rmi/servlet/ServletHandler?forward=1099 HTTP/1.1"
404 831

Which I guess mean it's converting to a GET request and the servlet also getting the request
but in get .Which it can't handle .Any help on how to achieve POST request forwarding on
rewrite will be appreciated ..
