Why wouldn't you use RedirectMatch in this one:

RedirectMatch ^/sitefinder.nsf(.*)$
http://domino.domain.com/sitefinder.nsf$1

This would explicitely grap the query strings (etc.) and explicitely append
to the redirected URL.

Just a theoretical question...

That sounds too easy for mod_rewrite.  Why not just

Redirect /sitefinder.nsf http://domino.domain.com/sitefinder.nsf
