Subject Permit SSI on Apache on Tru64
Date Fri, 14 Jun 2002 13:12:28 GMT

Hello everybody,

I have installed the Apache 1.3.24 on Tru64. When I configure apache so that I can use SSI
language. But I tried several ways, it did not work.

In my httpd.conf file:

<Directory />
    Options FollowSymLinks Includes
    AllowOverride None
    XBitHack full
</Directory>

#Uncomment on 06/13/02
AddType text/html .shtml
AddHandler server-parsed .shtml

But It can not work properly. Does anybody give some suggestion? Did I miss something when
I install Apache server. When I configure/make apache, I use this command:
# ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache_1.3.24 --enable-module=so --with-port=88
#make
#make install

You can test from:
     athena.wistar.upenn.edu:88/test_ssi.html
  or athena.wistar.upenn.edu:88/test_ssi.shtml

Thank you very much.

Grace
