Subject apache 2.0.36 / mod_rewrite / mod_proxy order
Date Sat, 25 May 2002 16:29:48 GMT
Dear All,

I'm using a configuration like that :

<VirtualHost 1.1.1.2>
 ServerName www.oops.test
 RewriteEngine on
 RewriteLog /somewhere/apache2/logs/rewrite.log
 RewriteLogLevel 9
 RewriteRule \.htr($|.*) / [F]
 RewriteRule \.idc($|.*) / [F]
 RewriteRule msadcs.dll / [F]
 RewriteRule ^/en/$ http://www.oops.test/en/ [P]
 RewriteRule ^/index.html http://www.oops.test/index.html [P]
 RewriteRule .* / [F]
## Proxy
 ProxyRequests Off
 ProxyPass / http://www.oops.test/
 ProxyPassReverse / http:/www.oops.test/
## Proxy end
</VirtualHost>

The reverse proxy is working like a charm. But the the rewrite
rules are not taking into account. I have tried to mod_proxy before and
after the rewrite block but it seems that mod_rewrite / and mod_proxy got
a specific order of operation. I don't have anything regarding the rewrite
rules into the log rewrite. I suspect there is a specific order but what
kind of order ?

Thanks

alex
