That's just the way it goes.  Any absolute link (starting in "/" or
"http") will break out of the proxy.  There is no way around thist.
Think about it from the browser perspective: If it sees a link <a
href="/">...  when it has browsed to, then by
the rules of URL resolution, it must ask for  But,
of course, if it saw the same link when it browsed to, it would ask for

Theoretically, someone could write a 2.0 filter that would rewrite all
the relative links to point to the proxy, but it would be quite a task,
and it would slow down the server.
