Subject 1.3.24 build fails on AIX433
Date Tue, 28 May 2002 07:17:49 GMT

I'm trying to build apache_1.3.24 (with mod_ssl) on AIX 4.3.3 with gcc 3.0.4
but it constantly fails with the following errors:

===> src/main

gcc -c -I../os/unix -I../include -DAIX=43 -DUSE_PTHREAD_SERIALIZED_ACCEPT
In file included from /usr/include/sys/pri.h:29,
                 from /usr/include/sys/sched.h:38,
                 from /usr/include/sched.h:52,
                 from /usr/include/pthread.h:43,
                 from http_main.c:642:
/usr/include/sys/proc.h:203: parse error before "crid_t"
/usr/include/sys/proc.h:212: parse error before "p_class"
/usr/include/sys/proc.h:355: parse error before '}' token

I've browsed around for help and found some posts from people having the
same problem but I never could get aout a clear answer on how to fix it.
Someone suggested that it was a bug in pthread.h from IBM but I can't verify
that (no patches available). Someone else suggested that gcc wasn├Ąt properly
installed, but I managed to compile OpenSSL without problems. Does anybody
know anything about this? Someone must have been able to build 1.3.24 on AIX
4.3.3 !?
