Subject RH7.1 Apache httpd 2.0.36 (src) tomcat 4.0.3 (bin) mod_jk error
Date Thu, 30 May 2002 03:25:43 GMT
Hi all,
I got Apache 2.0.36 from source and Tomcat 4.0.3 from binary and I'm trying
to connect the Tomcat to the httpd server by using the AJP connector.

I followed the instructions from

http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-4.0-doc/config/ajp.html

Tomcat started without problem and I can access it on port 8080

I inserted the line "Include $CATALINA_HOME/conf/auto/mod_jk.conf" in my
httpd.conf.

Apache httpd server failed to start with the following error on comand line:

Syntax error on line 4 of /home/apache/catalina/conf/auto/mod_jk.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache2/libexec/mod_jk.so into server:
/usr/local/apache2/libexec/mod_jk.so: undefined symbol: ap_table_get
/usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl start: httpd could not be started

Apache individually started without problem.

I've got the mod_jk.so at the correct location i.e.
/usr/local/apache2/libexec/mod_jk.so

Has anyone encountered such error? Please advise me or redirect me to some
documentation. Haven't found any about this yet.

Many thanks
Al
