Subject automagic user authentication
Date Sat, 18 May 2002 12:21:44 GMT
This may seem a strange question, anyway:

If you are in a MS Environment and your users has just logged in against a
NT PDC, then the webserver, IIS can ask for authentication without bothering
the user any more with the nasty popup please give user/password. This
inasmuch the user DID HAVE JUST logged on.
Now we are using Apache. The browser ( IE ) would be available to send
userid/passwd to the web server, only problem beeing a proprietary protocol,
Apache does not know how to ask for authentication.

Some ideas how to hack into it ? Maybe even there's a official tool around ?

Thanx for all suggestions
cheer
