Subject Compiling & running Apache under HPUX 11i
Date Mon, 13 May 2002 12:41:53 GMT

Hi :

I have successfully compiled Apache, version information below :

# bin/httpd -v
Server version: Apache/2.0.36
Server built: May 13 2002 13:22:51

# bin/httpd -l
Compiled in modules:
  core.c
  mod_access.c
  mod_auth.c
  mod_include.c
  mod_log_config.c
  mod_env.c
  mod_setenvif.c
  prefork.c
  http_core.c
  mod_mime.c
  mod_status.c
  mod_autoindex.c
  mod_asis.c
  mod_cgi.c
  mod_negotiation.c
  mod_dir.c
  mod_imap.c
  mod_actions.c
  mod_userdir.c
  mod_alias.c
  mod_so.c

When I try and start it the httpd daemon dies straight away. On checking the
logfiles the following error appears :

[Mon May 13 13:37:56 2002] [emerg] (19)No such device: Couldn't create accept
lock

Why is this error being produced ?

Thanks

Phil
