Sheeesh... that was way too easy.  Thanks Pete.  I assume the drawback 
to this approach is speed (or lack thereof).

BTW, I was able to get general access to everything on the app server with

RedirectMatch 301 ^/tc$   /tc/
ProxyPass /tc/  http://localhost:8080/
ProxyPassReverse /tc/  http://localhost:8080/

e.g., http://localhost/tc/myapp/  accesses the test application (appdev, 
using Ant) that I copied over from my Linux box.
