Subject Which effect on the web service ?
Date Thu, 02 May 2002 08:32:35 GMT
hi everyone,

when I restart Apache, I get this message in my log.

[Mon Apr 29 18:51:54 2002] [alert] httpd: Could not determine the
server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
[Mon Apr 29 18:51:54 2002] [notice] Apache/1.3.22 (Unix)
(Red-Hat/Linux) configured -- resuming normal operations
[Mon Apr 29 18:51:54 2002] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper:
/usr/sbin/suexec)
[Mon Apr 29 18:51:54 2002] [notice] Accept mutex: sysvsem (Default:
sysvsem)

Has the [alert] line something to do with the DNS config ?

If yes, what kind of info is needed to understand and correct this
message ? (I don't have any access to the DNS config and I don't few
understanding of DNS issues)

If no, where is the problem ?

I've known that out of France, some people couldn't access the site;
does this have to do with that problem ?

Thanks in advance.
