Subject Apache and dirs permissions
Date Mon, 20 May 2002 09:11:50 GMT
Hello list members,

I am the very guy who asked about running multiple apache instances a
couple of days ago. I've decided to use a single apache daemon for
some time. The questions are:

I got me myself administering 'main' server. Apache runs as e.g.
wwwrun:wwwgroup, and my files in /www have read permission for
wwwgroup. Another user maintaining a virtual server has his web files
in his ~/www directory, which is made world-readable. Is there a
better setup? I'd like to have both my and his files secured.
