Thanks for you response, and link.

The httpd.conf (2.0.35) contains this line:
User nobody
Group #-1

"nobody" is defined in both /etc/passwd and /etc/group.

Do I need to changes owner/perms on all or part of the httpd directories?
Currently all are owned by root?

Has this changed from 1.3.x, this problem doesn't occur with them.
