Er, bollocks. Setting an environment variable won't help at all for
proxied requests. Stupid me. Brian, just try this:

   RewriteRule ^/([^/]+)/(webapp.*)$ /standard/$2 [P,L]

I think it might well be what you want. If this gives you problems come
back with more info.
