Subject RE: Can't logon to Apache Server
Date Mon, 04 Mar 2002 14:15:21 GMT
I really think the problem you're running into is a FrontPage problem,
not an Apache problem.

FrontPage is looking for either an FTP server, a local LAN, or WebDav
(only with later versions of FrontPage). Only in the case of WebDav
does this login have anything to do with the Apache server (which I'd
place a rather large bet that you are NOT using WebDav).

Look at the help for FrontPage, and see how you can configure it to
work with either the local file system or a LAN, instead of FTP.

But i don't have FTP Server installed. I see some web server could
logon
without FTP.
Any other suggestion ?
It would be the username and password of the ftp user that has rights
to
write to the directory.
