Subject VHOSTS
Date Sun, 06 Jan 2002 17:56:24 GMT
Hi,

in apache documentation I read:
"The first vhost on this list (the first vhost in the config file with the specified IP address)
has the highest priority and catches any request to an unknown server name or a request without
a Host: header field. "

Here a part of my httpd.conf:
-------------------------------------------------------
ServerName xantho.resellerserver.com
DocumentRoot /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs

NameVirtualHost 213.198.63.79

#first VirtualHost-Entry:
<VirtualHost 213.198.63.79>
        ServerName www.angard.de
        ServerAdmin webmaster@xantho.de
        DocumentRoot /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/angard
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost 213.198.63.79>
        ServerName www.xantho.de
        ServerAlias xantho.de xantho.de
        ServerAdmin webmaster@xantho.de
        DocumentRoot /usr/local/etc/httpd/htdocs/xantho
</VirtualHost>
---------------------------------------------------------
There are many other DSN connected to 213.198.63.79 but they do not default to www.angard.de.

Example:
request http://test.xantho.de

is answerd by xantho.resellerserver.com (the main server) not by www.angard.de (the first
VHOST).

Environment:
Apache/1.3.12 BSafe-SSL/1.38
FreeBSD 3.3-RELEASE i386

What's going wrong, please help me?

U.Tollas
