Oh man.  You just saved me.  I was going to remind you to restart apache to
make sure that your changes were taking effect.  And, I was going to
elaborate by telling you to restart with "apachectl restart".  That's when I
realized that for 2 days, I have been using "httpd restart".  I fixed my
problem with .htaccess.  I hope that helps you.  Thanks to you and Joshua.

I can sleep now.
