First, I think, you need to verify that you only have 1 httpd.conf.  If you
are unable to updatedb, then change your servername to some bogus name,
restart your server, and see if it works.  if it works, then you have
another httpd.conf.  If it fails, at least you've confirmed that you're in
the right place.

heh, im glad your problem is solved, but I still can't figure out why I
can't change the stupid "It Worked" page, there must be a simple
explanation.  What is the normal process for changing it, maybe I am doing
something wrong. (if you can help please be detailed)
