Subject apache 1.3.3 - setting default compiler - 'gcc' instead of 'cc'
Date Mon, 09 Apr 2001 17:10:09 GMT
wow, here's my first posting to the apache mail list:

i'm trying to install apache to my solaris 2.7
machine,
but can't run './configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache'
because it wants to use 'cc' instead of using 'gcc'
as my C compiler...

i have gcc installed, but i do not know how to tell
the ./configure to use gcc instead...

any tips or ideas?

thanks for any help you can offer!
