I've fixed the gpg part to work also with longer filenames where gpg
breaks up the hash into two lines.
So far I got few positive comments, and a bunch of 'I dont care';
if nobody objects further I would like to integrate the above script

Also I've shown that it is possible to run automated checks on every
platform once we agree on the coreutils output format - either with a
Java or native GUI, or with a Perl script, or with coreutils tools:
