Subject Re: Apache 2.2.8 on solaris 10 in chroot problem
Date Mon, 26 May 2008 18:57:30 GMT
Hello Justin,

i had a similar problem "...(EAI 8)node name or service name not known:
alloc_listener: failed to set up sockaddr for 0.0.0.0...."
because of a missing /dev/udp (for IPv4) device entry within the chroot
environment. My problem was fixed after I added one with mknod.

If this doesn't help dtrace may be your friend, e.g.

dtrace -n 'syscall::open*:entry \
{ printf("%s %s",execname,copyinstr(arg0)); }'

kind regards,
Markus
