Sometimes if you post a patch that you're happy with and get no feedback
here, it can be worthwhile to just go ahead and commit.  That's what CTR
is about: getting exposure in /trunk/ without excessive hassle, and
without breaking a 'release' product if it goes pear-shape.
Just include a reference to your post in your commit message.

Of course, it's always a judgement call.  Your commit access means we
trust your judgement:-)
