With something like that :

    apr_brigade_flatten(brigade, buf, &len);
    apr_brigade_cleanup(brigade);
    tlen += len;
    if (tlen == count_bytes || !len) {
        break;
    }
    buf += len;
    len = count_bytes - tlen;
}
