And the request log shows

www.apache.org 70.183.59.151 - - [14/Oct/2005:04:35:53 +0200] "GET
/dist/jakarta/tomcat-3/ HTTP/1.1" 301 370 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh;
U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6"
www.apache.org 70.183.59.151 - - [14/Oct/2005:04:34:55 +0200] "GET
/dist/tomcat/tomcat HTTP/1.1" 404 344 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U;
PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6"

I'll trace the behavior on my test machine once I remember how
to build httpd 2.0.55. ;-)
