Yup - I thought he was merely dissing winsock :-)  Another thought though,
wouldn't that be more appropriate as a #error "This configuration cannot be
compiled due to thread saftey bug in rfc1413.c" ???

Maybe the broken compilation bit wasn't a bad idea :-)
