A separate thread or process is used for each parallel request, so you
won't find any sort of multiplexing code in the server.

If you look at the MPMs (server/mpm/prefork, server/mpm/worker, etc.)
you'll see the mechanisms by which multiple threads or processes are
created to handle parallel requests.
