Well, for a port to be part of the 'official' distribution,
it needs to a) not interfere with any other platforms, and
b) have someone participating on this list who will maintain

I notice that the httpd-2.0 repository seems to have lost the
PORTING file we had in 1.3; dunno why.  However, looking at
that should work for getting some starting tasks.  Once you've
got things fairly stable according to that, generate a unified
diff of your code against the HEAD in CVS, and post it as a
patch to this list (use a subject like '[PATCH] port to Software
AG SMARTS platform').  You can find the old PORTING file online at
