It is?  Cool.  Can you point me at a message ID that I can commit for
filter authors to follow, or should I commit what I just wrote for the
first time?

This is 90% linguistics, 10% logic.  We have never seemed to
communicate well when it comes to the filtering debates.

I was arguing content.  You were arguing connection.  Neither of
us made ourselves clear enough, did we?

I was frustrated that the vast majority of content filters had to
now handle a TON of state information and 'carry' their callers, which
I thought was wrong.  Based on this news that only connection filters
handle the readbytes argument (and all the rest pass it on) I can live
with this.
