Subject [PATCH] somebody plz try this on Solaris < 8
Date Fri, 07 Sep 2001 11:50:45 GMT
Sorry for wasting the subject line but I'd just commit if I could test
properly. I'd love to see whether or not it builds on Solars 7.

This 1.3 patch allows the administrator to choose pthread for the
accept mutex mechanism on Solaris. That works well on Solaris (8, at
least) for certain numbers of CPUs (1, as I recall :) ). Also, when
fcntl can't be used (e.g., siteminder) it is nice to have a choice
which doesn't require additional system configuration (with sysvsem on
Solaris, the kernel semaphore variables will likely have to be
adjusted).

Thanks,

Jeff
