Tried it, love it ;-)

Since I alreadly strongly steal ASF CVSROOT stuff, my $CVSROOT/pre_commit now looks like:

#!/bin/sh
if /home/cvs/bin/check_frozen commitinfo ${1+"$@"}; then
    if /home/cvs/bin/cvs_acls ${1+"$@"}; then
       if /home/cvs/bin/commit_prep ${1+"$@"}; then
          exit 0
       fi
    fi
fi
exit 1

Works fine for me out of the box
