To borrow a phrase from Tony, "effectively, yes."

The win32/os2/netware ports will forward-slash the paths.

That means only the regex style of arguments in the conf file should still
be restricted to slashes-only pathnames.  regex paths, such as in Alias,
must use slashes, of course, since backslashes have special meaning.
