Thanks for spotting it and providing a patch. I will commit a slightly
different patch (when I get off the plane) for a couple of reasons:
there's an off-by-one error in the array allocation because you define
alloc_array() to take the array length but you call it with the
maximum index; and there's a minor stylistic error.
