Not at all - such a caching module would simply behave like any HTTP
proxy - content negotiation will ensure that the correct cached object
is sent to the client. It's all catered for already in HTTP - there is
no need to reinvent the wheel.

It will pick this up from Cache-Control, Pragma, Vary, and other
associated headers.
