Dear friends,

Does Apache want I have network-card if I want to work with it on local
computer.

I read some help Setting Up and I made few changes. What do You think
about this:

I changed my file hosts.sam in WINDOWS folder to hosts and wrote:

127.0.0.1 ljuba.masina.com # HOST

I changed and httpd.conf file to ServerName ljuba.masina.com

Now I can start Apache without problems but I don't can see what Apache
works. If I wrote http://ljuba.masina.com:8080 in my browser browser
wants to go to INTERNET. It can't find it on local computer. And I can't
install services:

C:\Apache>apache -i
Installing the Apache service to use c:/apache/conf/httpd.conf
[Sun May 28 11:55:07 2000] [error] (120)This function is only valid in
Win32 mode: OpenSCManager failed

PING:

C:\WINDOWS>ping ljuba.masina.com

Pinging ljuba.masina.com [127.0.0.1] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=128
Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128
Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=128
Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes=32 time<10ms TTL=128

Ping statistics for 127.0.0.1:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum =  1ms, Average =  0ms

It looks like OK. Each data is correct. What I must to do else? Create
virtual host, ...

What do You think - will my Apache work OK with winsock2 from MS?

When I wrote in browser http://127.0.0.1 it must go on INTERNET - why? I
want to use Apache just on my computer.

Thanks again.

Regards from Novi Sad,
