A really dumb question, but outside of the SSL/TLS changes,
how much more NW code needs to be changed before the NetWare
folk will be looking for a rollout of 1.3.13?

<Mike> We have some GNU makefiles we would like to include as well but
are finding issues between cygwin's version and the one directly
from GNU's site. I wouldn't say it is critical that these get pushed
in though.

On the SSL/TLS, where is TLS from? NetWare's kernel? If we
aren't actually distributing SSL code, I can't imagine that
either the patent or export restrictions are an issue, if Apache
simply calls the NOS's properly licensed and exported core.

<Mike>Yes, SSL/TLS is in the kernel. All I would be providing is
mod_tls.c which only has calls to Winsock such as WSAIoctl,
and other Winsock function calls.

On that patent front, doesn't the patent expire in August?

<Mike>I'm not sure of the exact date but I do know that it is sometime
this fall.

I'm just trying to time my contributions to fix the outstanding
issues in Win32 to get rid of a huge number of duplicate issues
in the bug db/newsgroups.

<Mike> We're in no hurry for a release. We just want people
to have what we've fixed.
