Subject APR ap_open_stderr() routine
Date Mon, 03 Apr 2000 17:22:03 GMT
Just wondering...

In apr/file_io/unix/open.c the ap_open_stderr() routine is as follows...

   ap_status_t ap_open_stderr(struct file_t **thefile, ap_context_t *cont)
   {
       (*thefile) = ap_pcalloc(cont, sizeof(struct file_t));
       if ((*thefile) == NULL) {
           return APR_ENOMEM;
       }
       (*thefile)->filedes = STDERR_FILENO;
       (*thefile)->cntxt = cont;
       (*thefile)->fname = NULL;
       (*thefile)->filehand = NULL;
       (*thefile)->buffered = 0;
       (*thefile)->eof_hit = 0;

       return APR_SUCCESS;
   }

Shouldn't the fname be set to stderr (i.e.  (*thefile)->fname = stderr; )?
  Maybe it doesn't matter much in UNIX. The AS/400 has special
considerations for stdin, stdout, and stderr.
