Thanks for the quick response.  Now I have Ken Coar's concern to
address :(

Ken's text:

Recap:

Ryan: +1 as the code sits now
Ken:  -1 as the code sits now, with only an issue with the name;
      offers "xlate" as an alternative
Jeff: doesn't care whether the name changes or not, is o.k. with "cp",
      prefers "xlate" over "codepage" since "codepage" seems rather
      long

Does anybody else care to express a preference for "cp", "xlate",
"codepage", or some other term?  As a reminder to those joining us
late, please note that it will be substituted for X in the following
filenames/symbols:

  lib/apr/X/foo/X.c
  lib/apr/include/apr_X.h
  ap_X_t
  ap_X_open
  ap_X_close
  ap_X_conv_buffer
  ap_X_conv_char
  (surely other interfaces in the future)
