Yup...

1) drop bitfields. no need to conserve the space (at the expense of
   access time)

2) drop "unsigned" because a bare "int" is generally the fastest type in
   C. in this case, the unsigned might not matter, but I consider it "good
   form" when you want a simple, fast flag.
