Ok... I've wasted enough hours on this today...

Try quoting the stated 'platform sdk' includes as
#include <> - which should prevent them from ever
becoming dependencys of the target.  We should look
at this project-wide, you might just use devstudio
to mass re-create all the make files and look for
victims of bad #includes.

If you want to roll in the installdll stuff, i've
attached a copy with the 'platform sdk' stuff 
stripped out.
