Actually, this shouldn't be a problem at all.  r->hostname is populated already by calling
ap_get_server_name, at least in mod_vhost_alias.  So ap_get_server_name is what calls the
ap_update_child_status (the function I modified)... therefore, the hostname should correctly
honor UseCanonicalName (unless the r->hostname is mangled in some other part of the code).

Right?
