Subject [BUG] current apache-2.0 hangs on linux.
Date Tue, 01 Feb 2000 00:52:58 GMT
Hmmm. I just fetched the most recent CVS copy of apache-2.0, compiled:
    ./configure \
    "--with-layout=Apache" \
    "--set-rule=MPM_METHOD:dexter" \
    "--enable-module=speling"
and ran it:
    % strace httpd
    ....
    getpid()                                = 21996
    stat("/tmp", {st_mode=0, st_size=0, ...}) = 0
    stat("/tmp/21996aaa", 0xbfffe170) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    unlink("/tmp/21996aaa") = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    semget(IPC_PRIVATE, 1, IPC_CREAT|0x180|0600) = 14
    semctl(14, 0, SETVAL, 0xbffff26c)       = 0
    getpid()                                = 21996
    stat("/tmp", {st_mode=0, st_size=0, ...}) = 0
    stat("/tmp/21996baa", 0xbfffe170) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    unlink("/tmp/21996baa") = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    semget(IPC_PRIVATE, 1, IPC_CREAT|0x180|0600) = 15
    semctl(15, 0, SETVAL, 0xbffff26c)       = 0
    semop(0xe, 0x1, 0, 0x80cfdfc
				^^^^^^^^and there it simply hangs.
I assume that the deadlock is caused by lock_inter() but could not
verify that yet. Is there a way to get apache 2.0 running *EVEN ON
LINUX* ?!?!
