description:
Hoard is a fast, scalable and memory-efficient allocator for
shared-memory and cc/NUMA multiprocessors. If you are running
multithreaded code on a multiprocessor machine, Hoard can dramatically
improve your application's performance. No changes to your source are
necessary: just link it in. Hoard scales up to at least 14 processors.
It should work on any UNIX (tested on Linux, Solaris, IRIX and the
BeOS) and Windows NT.

changes:
Pointer casts were made to unsigned longs for 64-bit architectures
(e.g., the SGI Origin 2000).

urgency:
low
