Sorry, didn't think to look for the MPM.  This doesn't make much sense,
because I have been doing all of my testing with the prefork MPM.  It's
the easiest one to profile.  :)  I bet there was an ap_popenf inside an
ifdef we didn't catch.  Let me look into it.  I'll fix it in a little
while.
