Subject [PATCH] 2nd cut of status table stuff
Date Wed, 29 Sep 1999 21:02:07 GMT
I implemented Roy's suggestion of storing key-value pairs instead of
using a big table for the Dexter MPM. Now mod_status looks much uglier
(because we don't have an actual table anymore), but someone can come
up with a way of prettifying it if that's important.

The server now will keep track of the status, protocol, and method of
every HTTP request. Adding new data is easy:

ap_update_connection_status(conn_id, key, value);

One problem that's left is that when a new request starts within a
keepalive connection, the data for the old connection isn't trashed.
I'm not quite sure what to do about this yet. I could reset_connection
and re-add any per-connection stats, I guess. I don't like that
solution much though.

Two files are attached: the patch to implement the support in the
server, and a mod_status that uses it.
