I like having the lookup from ipaddr to servername be totally internal to
Apache and its related config. But it seems that if you setup all of these
virtual host sections, then you might have just have slapped a
"DocumentRoot" in each of them instead of using the "VirtualDocumentRoot"
directive. It seems that you loose the automatic provisioning feature here,
because when you add a new domain the Apache configuration changes and some
form of configuration re-read is required.

Hum... what about looking up the servername from the filesystem. Say:

UseCanonicalName On
VirtualDocumentRoot /www/hosts/%0/docs
ServerNameFomFile /www/hosts/%0/servername

Possibly cache this info internally. (Perhaps an RSE MM application.)
