Won't that only work if '.' is in the path? Shouldn't that be
`.src/helpers/getuid.sh`?

Ops, here you were a little bit too fast, Jim ;)  The src/helpers should
read
$aux inside APACI and at least a closing ` character is needed after
getuid.sh, of course.
