Yes, seems like the QNX shell treats '\(' as '\(' but '\\' as just '\'.  Seems
inconsistent to me. At least all other shells treat '\\' as '\\' AFAIK.
Perhaps this is caused because the construct is part of backticks `...` and
QNX's shell has some special expansion semantics there?
