| * Wilfredo Sanchez's [PATCH] Build outside of source tree
| Message-ID: <199810020251.TAA20588@scv2.apple.com>
| Status: Ralf +1 (conceptual, with question)
| Martin +1 (for concept)

Any one else willing to take a look at this (and add a +1)? I'd like to get it
into 1.3.4, if possible, since Apple can't build Apache without it.

The only outstanding question was regarding why I got rid of $(TOP), for
which the answer is that I did not get rid of $(TOP). In fact $(TOP) was quite
useful in making my patch work. What I did was remove the assumption that
$(SRC), which points to the shadow tree, is a subdirectory of $(TOP), which
is the top of the source tree. The whole point of the patch was to move the
shadow tree elsewhere, hence the removal of $(TOP)/ as a prefix to $(SRC).
