To install "Excite for WebServers", you need to run the installation script
as root, or use the '-noroot' command-line parm (which doesn't appear to
work), because:

    echo "If you choose the '-noroot' method, please be sure that the
directory you"
    echo "install Excite for Web Servers into is writeable by the userid
your web server"
    echo "runs under.  Also make sure the Excite documentation directory
under"
    echo "the document root is writeable by the web server user."

Dumb.  It also installs most of the interface files mode 666.
